The stone as elegance

Stone inhabits spaceand dresses it with elegance.

Before furnishings, before changing light, a stone surface gives a room its pace: the underlying silence, the right distance between things, a firmness that goes unnoticed and is not forgotten. It neither imposes nor withdraws. It remains. Lythos begins with a quiet material: limestone, its mineral warmth, light settling without reflection. To this calm, slate lends elegance: character, direction, a subtle mark crossing the surface like writing. Not two stones placed side by side, but a new stone in which calm sustains character and character gives measure to calm.

In the morning it is seen. In the evening it is heard.

Lythos, A warm, quiet material. A subtle mark.

One stone, two natures

A warm, quiet material. A subtle mark.

The starting point is limestone: a fine-grained calcareous background where light settles without rebounding. The mark comes from slate: direction, subtle lamination, a few broader passages visible only from a distance. Lythos is a new, original stone that belongs in every space as though it had always been there.

Lythos, detail
01

Calm

A balanced material that asks nothing of the eye. Light settles on it without reflection.

02

Character

Direction and a subtle mark cross the surface like writing. Calm sustains character.

03

Elegance

Elegance without ceremony and depth without weight. What is present has a reason; what is absent is a choice.

The earths

Five tones, a system of relationships.

Avorio, Sabbia, Taupe, Terra and Grigio share the same chromatic structure as Brera. The same earth in two states: raw in Brera, stone in Lythos.

Three marks in stone

Strato, Linfa, Aurea.

Strato gives stone a vertical rhythm. Linfa sculpts a tone-on-tone leaf. Aurea lets a vein of warm burnished gold emerge. All are on Avorio in 60×120; Aurea is third-fired.
